[CHANGELOG]
[THINGS OF THE NOW]

[ARCHIVE]
this is where old frontpage posts are gonna live. forever. there are also irrelevant rants contained within, for the daring few...
[07/06/26]
still trying to implement the drawn borders- you can catch my attempts on the archive page. right now i'm trying to get a feel of it with mspaint prototypes. results middling. i'd certainly need different box styles lined up for visual variety, and i'm struggling to get those static top-and-bottom borders i'm so fond of working in this style. it unnerves me to have the boxes cut off at the top and bottom. breaks the illusion of the site being a static "window", if that makes sense. and then there's the issue of the hatemail widget becoming more and more incongruous the more the site changes around it. right now it's just boxes inside boxes inside boxes, which is kinda lame. maybe keep the exterior drawn boxes as a frame with the current [table] boxes inside?

[05/06/26]
now more than ever, we must HEED THE HOG:

i've fallen in love with the drawn borders idea, and will be implementing it everywhere posthaste. manually. this will, naturally, involve a lot of copy-and-pasting. hopefully i'll remember to keep an archive of the current look in case I commit an INCREDIBLE BOTCH, but I probably won't, because i'm a rascal. i'm also toying around with making the VIDEOHOLE a new mix of videos every month, following an esoteric theme of my (or your, if you're feeling bold) choosing. i've also gotta find the original files for my physical comicks and stick them on ko-fi. but i'm also playing old world blues. and the PROM's TOMORROW!

[04/06/26]
THE FUTZING CONTINUES. i've decided to bid adieu to the scrollbar. scrolling is now IMPLIED. however, i'm now intrigued by the idea of drawing the boxes on the page myself, and using this tool to implement it. shoutout to subpar comics for putting it on my radar!

[29/05/26]
UNQUICK UPDATES: the Great May Heatwave is over. ish. we've gone from 36C (96.8 American Heat Units) to a frosty 23C. the sun is set to receed further into the murky greyness we fondly call "tha sky"- so what now? I plug the scanner back in and resume posting.

but posting isn't everything. so here's a TO DO of other crap I really ought to get up to after this blissful month of sweaty procastination:
>>begrudgingly crack open my "ko-fi" again and sell my extant comics as pdfs
>>finish the several minizines I started in the last two months
>>attempt to heat-proof the attic room in which I dwell
>>show you all the actual, physical "drink reaper" I built (see update below)
>>beat god at his own game
feel free to refer back to this list in the coming months to see if I get it all done or not. I got good feelings about that last bullet.

[11/04/26]

the GCP dot is down. my cinema job has entered "THE BUSY SEASON". my life is in turmoil. in spite of these happenings, THE SUN STILL RISES and CREATION PREVAILS:

LOSTINO THE LOST PROPERTY MASCOT IS NOW REAL.
god help me if anyone comes back for either of the two beanies comprising his head, or the five beanies I stuffed INSIDE of his head to give him dimensions. i'm working on comix but the aforementioned BUSY SEASON is biting me in the ass. never get a job, kids.
[03/04/26]
THE GCP DOT IS DOWN. I REPEAT: THE GCP DOT IS DOWN.

I don't know what to do without consulting that dot, but more importantly, I have no idea what the hell i'm going to stick in that corner now. I hope it comes back soon. i'm getting ANTSY. updates continuing as usual despite the uncertain times we find ourselves in.

i'm also going round and adding hover-over text to some of the art in T.I.D.A.L. & the sketchbook. vague explanations for the vaguely explainable.

[03/06/26]
YET AGAIN; FUTZING. i'm trying to fix the misalignment issue with the overlay to little avail. maybe it'd work out nicer if I drew the borders myself? logistical nightmare. the layout you see currently is a compromise- the top and bottom borders are no longer misaligned, but now they encapsulate the scrollbar, too, which i'm not too sure how to feel about. maybe if I get the scrollbar on "changelog" boxed in, too... but then there's the discrepancy of the scrollbar within the chatbox widget, which I think might be totally out of my control. frankly, I could've avoided all of this by not investing in the [table] tag so hard, and keeping track of my pixel measurements instead of cramming everything in 'til it looked passable, but whatEVER. shoulda woulda coulda, i'm doubling down.

[22/03/26]
i've been futzing with the layout again! i'm too indecisive for this world, and mucking around with tables is TOO FUN. other than that, i'm wrapping up work on the Shade Zine. dunno if i'm gonna upload it here or not, but hey. we're all along for the ride here, are we not?

[09/05/26]
quick updates: because my cup (brain) overfloweth, i've hit one of those phases where i'm always getting zine ideas and then storing them away. goofball business. my biggest issue with minizines is that I tend to write more than what can be fitted on the paper, which becomes a bit of an issue when I also wanna cram illustrations into the layouts. everything will have a part two, at this rate!

I woke up today realising that i'm less than six months away from halloween, which means i'm less than four months away from halloween season, which means I NEED TO BE MAKING PROPS. but I also NEED TO BE MAKING ZINES. zines about props? prop zines? who freaking knows. I got a pile of crap to scan & post, see you on the other side of that.

p.s. I see we're doing square buttons now. I hope neocities hasn't been screwing with things under the hood, because I just got my nebulous unseen sauce score high enough that i'm no longer unpersonned on the global activity page. don't mess with me now, people!!
p.p.s the gcp dot is back but it's lame now. it's not even a dot. it's, like, an easily understandable meter. you can't even embed it. i'll still consult it, as RNG is RNG, but this still bites.

[05/05/26]
the comics page is now an official thang, as is the pdf viewer held within. happy days. progress on the megaheap's cover has stalled, because i'm doing WAGIE ANGST and making WAGIE VENT ART (zine about the worst part of my job: MAKING THOSE GODDAMN HOT DOGS, and probably also a zine making fun of customers.)

[28/04/26]
today i'm gonna trial making a separate page just for comics, 'cus it just feels right. maybe embed some of the meatier ones as pdfs? stay tuned, i'm probably gonna upload that Horrible Gargamel Minicomic in this bunch, because ALL the honeys love horrible gargamel minicomics, right? RIGHT????

[ADDENDUM] I did upload the Horrible Gargamel Minicomic! i'm futzing around with pdf embeds vs. just dumping the raw images in that there page. let me know how it looks, stay tuned for further futzing.

[25/04/26]
BIG HEAP just needs a cover and it's done. i'll be flipping a coin to decide if I upload it to ko-fi or keep it physical only, like god nintended. I also need to figure out what i'll do with the older, scruddier heaps that are already printed- i'm thinking that I go set up in a city center and hand them out like they're religious pamphlets. yeahhhhh.
other than that, i'm working through my backlog of work doodles to upload/forcefeed you all, and GOD WILLING i'll find my ink so I can finish off a couple sketchbook pages i've been procastinating.

[420 2026]
happy 420! the site is rapidly advancing towards the big 20k, i'm rapidly switching between Things I'm Doing (right now i'm hung up between inking some pages, covering my body in henna, and amateur leatherwork), and the sun is shining bright. it's going to be a fine day. I can feel it...

BECAUSE THE GCP DOT MIGHT BE COMING BACK! above is the current state of the site, which previously refused to connect. it's progress! cheers to subpar comics for clueing me in on this. (contrary to the name, the art contained within that site is anything BUT supbar- check it out!) we will be interpreting the dot in no time at all.
other than that, i've been watching a tremendous amount of movies recently, and giving my lukewarm takes on said movies, as well as dripfeeding comics into the sketchbook page as promised. have at, go nuts, fill your boots, etc...

[16/04/26]
heapcomic.com is LIVE! woke up and did it on a whim after a night of heinous prophetic dreams. progress on THE BIG HEAP is going much smoother than I thought it would go- I thought I lost all of the original GIMP files, but they were on a USB stick I sealed in a capsule submerged in holy water. as of right now, I just need to draw up a cover, redraw one of the grungier pages, and find a dumping ground/retirement home for the drawings that used to go on the "BOTTOM OF THE BACKPACK" pages, which have been omitted for the sake of QUALITY.

[413 2026]
happy 4/13! for a certain sect of people who were really annoying in highschool, this is a high holy day. doing some homestuck doodles to celebrate! will I upload them today? PROBABLY!
[ADDENDUM- I did not, in fact, upload the doodles: instead I got hung up on doing henna all over my legs. ain't I a card?]

otherwise, the CURRENT MISSION: cobble together the scruddy contents of all the heap zines into one beautiful gigaheap. a pile, if you will. and drip feed you, the readers at home, with a comic or two from Ye Archives.

the dot is also STILL DOWN, so until further notice, the WORK IN HOGRESS hog will sit in that sacred corner. we miss you, gcp dot!

[27/03/26]
good news: I finished the shade zine!
bad news: I have so many thoughts about this terminally irrelevant character that I couldn't fit them all on two sides of A4, so i'm totally doing a sequel. but i'll hold my horses and work on my original comics until the Madness strikes again.

coming soon to a somewhere near you, probably.

[8/03/26]
so I WASN'T KIDDING about updating the site. i've even been futzing with the layout. the very bones of this place. adding new pages. reinstating old ones. yes, it's officially a WORK IN HOGRESS.

[15/03/26]
new page time. I do an awful lot of doodling at work. now they have a home.

[4/13 TIDINGS, YEARS ON FROM THE ENDING]
I hate the newfangled "meta" homestuck. there. I said it. I hate how all discussion about homestuck seems to revolve around an endless stream of controversies, sequels, and fandom clownery. anyone who claims that homestuck ""had"" the worst fandom circa ~2012 hasn't seen the current state of it- rickety grifts and discord cliques cannibalising eachother. people braining eachother with digital rocks in an attempt to make their headcanons canon-canon. hoo wee. ten years ago, on this day, homestuck ended, and we all sighed a sigh of relief that it was finally OVER. it was an underwhelming ending, but an ENDING. little did we know that hussie's orbiters and hanger-ons had formed a bizarro shadow cabinet that conspired to never let homestuck die EVER. under any circumstances. no matter how embarrassing, they would rehash and drag the bloated corpse of god's least favourite webcomic on for another ten years and beyond. jesus christ. how many undeaths has homestuck endured, now? the ungodly epilogues, several iterations of a game that's been in-and-out of cancellation, lame visual novels designed as supplemental materials to thegame, a sequel so bad that it was disowned shortly into its original run, a revival of the sequel that's gone full-on fancomic, and now a vivziepop animated series with all the witty writing that entails. jee-ZUS. i'm half convinced that these people have hussie chained up in a basement, and prod him with barbed sticks whenever he doesn't sign off on all this crap. here's to another ten years of pointing and laughing.

[12/03/26]
been adding pages and putting things in those pages. consistently.

[7/03/26]

yet again I am BEGRUDGINGLY updating the website. every time I go to start posting to the OFFICIAL heap instagram, which as of right now holds zero (0) posts, I feel a tremendous weight on my soul, like the universe is telling me to get the hell out of there. I simply am not built for that go-go-go self promotional lifestyle, it seems. so my only real choice is to go FULL THROTTLE with this site. or medium throttle. I dunno. in any case, i'm working on three zines at once, because spring has sprung and so has my vast and beautiful mind. who knows. maybe i'll even bestow upon this website a pittance of "content".

[SPECIAL SAUCE]
I hate whatever invisible maths is happening to determine "special sauce". when I check "last updated" I expect to see EVERY website that last updated, not whichever ones have hit a certain view/engagement count. it sucks! what, I gotta look in specific TAGS to see sites? I shudder to imagine what incredible worlds i'm missing out on purely because i'm not searching their esoteric tags. not to be all "back in my day...", but I killed SO much time in 2020 by trawling the last updated page for bizarre websites to ingest. you can get the same effect from the "newest" page, but it's missing that je ne sais quois... that zazz.

[25/08/25]

and yet another zine, in two handsome flavours- strawberry and readable. I got infected with smurfs. I have a running theory that the smurfs is an ineffective cognitohazard, only one in every 10,000 people who are exposed to the smurfs actually get posessed with Smurf Enjoyment. but that's a story for another day.

[27/10/25]

badges! they're not new. i've been making them for, like, six months now. but a GALLERY TO VIEW THEM IN? that's new.

[GCP DOT]
if you've bothered to trawl for this page, GOOD FOR YOU. you get a little treat- a layman's description of the coloured dot in the corner. the gcp dot, or the Global Consciousness Project dot, is an indicator of global mental coherence based on a series of randomly generated numbers distributed around the world. tldr- blue = mental focus. red = emotional focus. it's important to consult the dot whenever something screwy happens, and attempt to rationalise the world's behaviour with the dot's colour.
